Sikelela Buthelezi
Research Scientist
Sikelela is a dedicated researcher with a strong background in Plant Sciences and Molecular Biology. Holding a BSc Agric (Plant Sciences) and Masters in Horticulture from the University of KwaZulu Natal, he has an advanced understanding of the cultivation of crops, protection of crops from pests and diseases, and setting up experimental trials.
Currently, Sikelela is pursuing a PhD in Genetics at the University of Pretoria (FABI). His study uses molecular approaches to understand the biology of fungal pathogens better. Sikelela heads the pathology and genotype selection programme for Bassani Medical.

Ragini has over 20 years’ experience and obtained qualifications in Administration, Project Management and Business Management. She has worked extensively with senior management teams in the quantity surveying, architectural, mining and construction environments. She works independently with skills that include critical thinking, problem solving and decision making.
